Sacred Space

Nourishing Ourselves

What you do for yourself–any gesture of kindness, any gesture of gentleness, any gesture of honesty and clear seeing toward yourself–will affect how you experience your world. In fact, it will transform how you experience the world.

Pema Chodron

Sometimes we just have to claim the space and time we can for us.

To create space that is meaningful, sacred and inviting for slowing down, unwind. A little corner of the room, a favorite chair for the morning coffee, little visual inspirational posts on the walls, a picture that reminds us of a story, notes of spirit-lifting quotes in a colourfull journal, a fluffy warm blanket. The bathroom becomes a sacred space when taking intentionally long, relaxing, candle light bath.

Little reminders to savor each moment can shift our experience for the rest of the day. Doing these simple things in our homes reconnects us to ourselves, reminds us of the beauty that exist all around us. And then, our home is not just a shelter but a sanctuary where our soul feels nourished.
